Juliette Moxham Compassionate Counselling
Workplace Reflective Practice
The aim: To provide support and a safe space for the client to discuss any aspects of their work that may be relevant, to help them both ‘offload’ and build emotional resilience.
It is an opportunity for the following:
-
A place to focus on your experiences, thoughts and feelings connected to work
-
A space to answer your own questions whilst being provided with the support and knowledge necessary to guide your decision making
-
Time for reflection which is important because it empowers you to assess your own performance at work and explore your strengths as well as vulnerabilities. This enables you to make changes to work performance.
-
An opportunity to work though complex emotions in a safe place enabling you to manage the stress you experience on the job.
-
An empathetic, non-judgemental, listening ear.
Confidentiality: What the client shares in the sessions (the content) is treated with the utmost confidence and will not be fed back to the employer or anybody else except if there is a serious safeguarding concern. In this instance, wherever possible, I encourage the client to take the necessary steps themselves.
Record keeping: In line with GDPR, a secure record of the client’s name, contact details, the session dates and number of sessions attended are kept. This information (as opposed to the content of sessions) is available to the employer upon request.
