Couples Counselling
Very few relationships exist conflict-free and even when they do this can be sometimes be unhealthy if one person feels they have to 'keep the peace'. Couples counselling can help you develop a deeper understanding of the dynamics in your relationship, find ways of sorting out relationship issues and improve communication. It is not a place for blame but a space to reconnect emotionally, listen to your partner differently and learn to create a happier and healthier relationship.
My approach is compassionate and a non-judgemental. Together we will explore why there may be disconnection and unmet needs, and how to get the relationship that you both really want.
I generally work with each person individually for one session and from session three, couples counselling begins together. In session six we informally assess the progress that has been made and decide the next steps.
